India's Proprietary Thermodynamic Innovation
The RAVIKESH Cycle is a revolutionary modification of the conventional Otto cycle, engineered to maximize constant-volume heat addition and dramatically improve combustion energy utilization. This is India's first proprietary thermodynamic cycle for internal combustion engines.

Section 01
The RAVIKESH Cycle is an advanced thermodynamic cycle developed by Ravikesh Kumar, Founder & CEO of KunwarMotors. Unlike the conventional Otto Cycle where combustion happens over a range of piston positions, the RAVIKESH Cycle enforces near-constant volume combustion โ meaning fuel burns when the piston is nearly stationary at Top Dead Centre (TDC). This fundamental change unlocks thermodynamic efficiency levels previously unachievable in spark ignition engines.
Section 02
In the standard Otto Cycle, combustion begins before TDC and continues as the piston moves, leading to energy loss through heat transfer to cylinder walls. The RAVIKESH Cycle delays and concentrates ignition timing so that the maximum pressure rise occurs at constant volume. This results in higher peak pressures, better work extraction per cycle, and significantly reduced heat rejection.
Section 03
The cycle achieves up to 45%+ Brake Thermal Efficiency (BTE) compared to 30-38% in conventional engines. By minimizing heat loss during combustion, more energy from fuel is converted into useful mechanical work. The cycle also enables better compatibility with ethanol blends and future sustainable fuels.
